Ingredients you will need include:

12 large eggs

1 1/2 cups of sugar

1/2 teaspoon of salt

8 cups of whole milk

2 tablespoons of vanilla

1 teaspoon of nutmeg

2 cups of heavy whipping cream

Directions:

Whisk the eggs, sugar, and salt together in a large saucepan. Slowly add four cups of milk; Cook and stir over low heat for 30-35 minutes or until a thermometer registers 160°-170°. Keep from letting it boil. Transfer immediately to a large bowl. Add the remaining milk, nutmeg, and vanilla. Stir the milk mixture in the bowl in an ice bath until it cools. If the mixture separates, blend it until smooth.) Cover and refrigerate for at least three hours until cold. After cooling, mix together and serve.
